We’re pleased to launch Survey 2 for Port Alberni’s Transportation Master Plan, your opportunity to provide input on draft transportation priorities, policies, and improvements.
Last year, we heard from residents, businesses, and visitors about the need for safer streets, improved connections, and expanded transportation options. Survey 2 builds on that input by presenting draft directions for further feedback.
Please review the Draft Network Plans in the Survey Tab on the TMP project web page. The information provides helpful context to inform your responses.
Your input remains vital to this process, and each response helps move the plan forward. The survey is open until March 26, 2026.

The Transportation Master Plan is moving into its next stage, and your input is helping guide the way. With Round 1 engagement complete, a background and benchmarking report in place, and urgent road safety needs identified, we’re now building on this foundation with traffic modelling, truck route studies, and policy reviews.
Your feedback has already highlighted the need for safer crossings, improved active transportation connections, and better planning for future growth. Thank you to everyone who participated. You’re helping create a safer, smarter, and more connected transportation network for Port Alberni.

We’re eager to show you the work completed so far and hear your thoughts. We will be hosting presentations and Q&A sessions for the Parks, Recreation, and Culture Master Plan (PRCMP) and Transportation Master Plan (TMP), followed by the third annual Connect with Your City Open House.
