The City of Port Alberni is currently seeking public input to help guide the development of the Uptown District Revitalization Strategy (UDRS), which will revisit and build upon the goals outlined in the City of Port Alberni’s Uptown Waterfront Report from 2007.

The City’s 2019-2023 Corporate Strategic Plan has refocused efforts on the Uptown District. The UDRS is being developed to understand the needs of the area and to identify priorities that relate to social and economic revitalization. The outcomes and initiatives developed as part of the UDRS will also help inform the City’s next review and update of the Official Community Plan.

To help gather feedback from the public, the City has launched this survey which will be available to complete from April 30, 2020 to May 21, 2020 for feedback. The survey should take about 5 to 10 minutes to complete. We would appreciate it if you could share your thoughts with us.

Also be sure to try out the "Map" tab next to the "Survey" tab (below), you can use the map to drop pins and leave site specific comments.

The City will also be working with local stakeholders, service providers, businesses, and neighbourhood residents to gather input and help inform the strategy. Feedback received throughout the engagement process will be collected and analyzed by staff to inform the UDRS recommendations.
